Types in Radiant Worlds

Many fantasy worlds have elemental type systems that creatures use, and their powers are based off of these types, such as in the Pokémon series. Types in RW usually fit into one of three categories: "Base", "Appendage" and "Direction", and any type that does not fit into one of those goes into "Other".

Base Types

Neutral Neutral is the most common and basic type. It reacts neutrally to all other types and is otherwise uneventful.
Air Air is a type for creatures that fly or have wings, although a winged creature does not have to be air type. It can also refer to air pressure and weather effects. Lioffen are always Air type.
Water Water type is common in creatures that live in water, but not every creature in the sea is water type. It can also refer to other fluids. Felizer are always Water type.
Earth The Earth type is often found in creatures that live underground or burrow and dig their homes. It can also refer to dryness. Kylos are always Earth type.
Fire Fire type is seen in creatures that live in the desert or near volcanoes, but UNLIKE the previous types, it may be necessary for an entity to be Fire type to live in harsh conditions. It can also refer to heat. Arodra are always Fire type.

Appendage Types

Ice The Ice type is common in creatures that live in very cold climates such as arctic regions or mountains. It is an appendage of Water and Air.
Electric Electric types are common in steep mountains or savannah grasslands, as well as places with lots of storms. It is an appendage of Air and Fire.
Metal The Metal type is common in creatures that live underground or harsh conditions, as well as those who must consume heavier elements than most creatures. It is an appendage of Fire and Earth.
Plant The Plant type is common in creatures that live in heavily forested areas, and ones that have symbiotic relationships with plants. It is an appendage of Earth and Water.

Direction Types

Poison The Poison type is found in very poisonous or venomous creatures, or one with extreme resistance to those things. Also possibly an extreme 'lack' of type that doesn’t mix well with all other types. It is the “back” direction.
Radiant The Radiant type is like a space type, only found rarely by creatures in very unusual or powerful environments. It is the “forward” direction.
Light The Light type is harder to describe, a mixture of types that use light to work. Associated with good or bright things. It is the “up” direction.
Dark The Dark type is also unusual, a mixture of type that are not easily noticed. Associated with bad or dark things. It is the “down” direction.

Other types

Unknown For creatures whose type is not certain, or has very unusual properties.
